I have a personal question, did you gain weight during quarantine? I did. A solid 8 pounds! I ate my way through quarantine like nobody’s business! It was insane! Well, let me tell you, I’m paying the price! I had a tiny muffin top that turned into a bundt cake during quarantine and now I’m trying desperately to hide it until I can get motivated enough to get rid of it! I’ve been looking for some cute tops that hide my tummy and I thought that you might be interested in what I found! I am not saying you need them, just thought you might be interested! 😉
The post-quarantine weight gain has definitely added to my insecurity which is all the more reason to work hard to lose that weight and get back to a place that I feel more comfortable with myself and in my own skin. I wrote a post about insecurity and how I’m overcoming it here.
Wearing clothing that makes you feel beautiful and confident is so important for your self esteem. I always feel more confident and attractive when I feel good in my clothes.
I love this one-shoulder Lilly Pulitzer top. It is so flattering and comfortable. The fabric is gorgeous and light and the one shoulder design is sexy while the loose fit through the mid section is very forgiving. I love pairing it with white skinny jeans and some cute gold accessories. Honestly, this post should have been called, ” White Jeans 3 Ways” because I paired all three tops with the same white jeans! But only because I wanted to keep the focus on the tops.
This white lace halter top (also from Lilly Pulitzer) is a great date night top but is also perfect to pair with shorts for a more casual look for an outdoor BBQ or event. It is very forgiving around the middle and again, keeps the focus on the shoulders.
I wore this exact outfit just last weekend for a date night to an outdoor restaurant with my husband. This gorgeous off the shoulder sheer chiffon blouse is light and cool and I felt great wearing it. I have gotten so many compliments on this top that I actually bought it in white and very similar version of it in peach. I love that it hides the upper arms AND the tummy but keeps the focus on the shoulders. You will absolutely love how you feel in this top. You can pair it with just about any pair of jeans or pants. This is also a great fall transitional outfit.
